Salesianergasse 5/2, 1030 Vienna

Hello, and thank you for visiting my website and for your interest in dermatology (the scientific study and treatment of skin diseases). My name is Igor Vujic, and I am a father, husband, dermatologist, and researcher (sometimes however, not in that order, which I then get reminded swiftly from my kids and my lovely wife).
This section of the website is not for advertising, nor does it address specific skin conditions or treatments. Instead, it’s meant to provide you with a brief glimpse of who "we" are. (If you'd like more detailed information about my CV or scientific career, you’ll easily find the relevant sections on the homepage or google, or chatgpt or some other information-processing, not quite understandable apps, pages, programs and people)

SO, WHO ARE WE?

Let me first explain why I use "we" instead of "I." Although I am the one in front diagnosing and treating my patients, behind me stands a team of wonderful people, without whom my work, this website, and much more would not be possible. I owe these people my gratitude. First and foremost, my thanks go to my wife, Dr. Martina Sanlorenzo (a mother, wife, dermatologist, and researcher – also her not always in that order ), and to my sons, Matteo and Tommaso.
I am also deeply grateful to all my mentors, particularly Prof. Klemens Rappersberger, a great guy and a great teacher and a great friend, who has supported me alongside his team. I extend my thanks to my amazing colleagues, my parents, my brother Marin Vujic, and many more. that sheds light on this a bit more.
You can also find our stuff on instagramm, which we are not using very constantly, mostly due to the fact that we are trying to provide better care for our patients and this ‘instagramming stuff’ just takes sooooo much time. Instagram name: dermatologyvienna.

A BIT ABOUT ME

Professionally, I am a dermatologist, but I am also a general practitioner (a field I practiced and enjoyed for many years). I have lived in several cities (Zagreb, Rijeka, Klagenfurt, Perugia, Plymouth, San Francisco), but I am very fond of Vienna, which I believe is a wonderful city. I played basketball for many years and later water polo. Now, I play a bit of tennis, cycle a bit, sail occasionally, and spend most of my time running after my sons (small children on bikes are impressively fast). I also enjoy going to the cinema (especially seeing movies in their original language) and experimenting in the kitchen. I love ‘scientific cooking’; right now, for instance, I'm experimenting with homemade ramen, including marinating eggs in various sauces for different lengths of time. I am also collecting a bit of frying pans (which can be suprisingly expensive). If you are ever invited to my place, please do not touch my pans! (and mum: please do not wash them and mostly: do not put them in the dishwasher!).
Currently I am reading tons of science fiction books.
One day, when I retire, I plan to open Vienna's first "Evidence-Based Cooking Restaurant." You are warmly invited.

Wishing you good health and a skin you feel good in!
